Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil; dislikes wet or heavy clay

Central Missouri: Low chill requirement (200-300 hrs) is easily met, but as with most peaches in this region, spring flower buds are vulnerable to late frosts; site on high ground with good air/soil drainage rather than low, wet clay
