Redbud Forest Pansy 5Gal

Growth: Fairly fast, for a redbud

Light: Full sun to partial shade; afternoon shade helps hold the purple leaf color and reduce leaf scorch in hot summers

Soil: Adaptable to clay, loam, or sandy soil, and a range of pH; prefers good drainage

Central Missouri: Generally hardy and popular here (zone 5-9), though slightly less cold-hardy than straight-species redbud - avoid exposed, windy planting sites and give afternoon shade in our hot summers
