Fig Chicago Hardy 10 Gal

Size: 6-10 ft tall x 6-10 ft wide as a dieback shrub in this climate (can reach 15-30 ft where winters don't kill it back)

Growth: Fast, especially regrowth after winter dieback

Light: Full sun

Soil: Adaptable; prefers well-drained soil and can struggle in heavy, poorly-drained clay

Central Missouri: One of the most cold-hardy fig cultivars - roots generally survive zone 6a/6b winters, but top growth usually dies back to the ground each winter and regrows/fruits on new wood the same season; best treated as a dieback shrub here and benefits from winter mulching in exposed sites
